I bought my Lada about 2 years ago for 200?.My first idea was to make a exact copy of original VFTS. Car has been in use all the time exept last year. I joined team Lada Vaz Here and they asked if I need a garage. After that I have changed the engine and done some improvements Everything can be seen in my project pictures.

Car has been made to be as light as possible.Everything I don't need has been taken away. There is no insulation left.
Doors are made of aluminium and doorwindows are made from polycarbonate.
Seats are made from fiberglass for minimum weight. All extra electricwires has been removed.
Normally Lada 2105 is about 1000kg.
My car weights 880 kg when it is ready to go. Without driver but half tank of gasoline.{Auto stardikaal on 880kg (poole paagi bensiiniga)}
Engine:1500 1,3 mm lowered block
Intake and exhaust ports made bigger, cam is 290 deg 9 mm lift
4-2-1 header, 2" exhaust with 2 straight-flow mufflers, Dellorto DHLA 40 carburetors.
Transmission is normal 4-speed.
Transmission will be changed to a "dogleg"(koerajalg) gearbox.
In january a rollcage will be installed.
Shockabsorbers are gas shocks(Lip.UK) and springs are progressive (Russian made)

Btw, autol on väidetavalt Harju KEK-i poolt (või siis Brundza vabrikus) tehtud alumiiniumist ukseplekid, kapotiluuk (tagatiib on ka alumiiniumist) ja kapott, ostetud mingise Soome rallisõitja käest. Laiendiring on valatud Soomes, nii et vfts-replica tegijatel tasuks sealtkandist ka laiendeid uurida, kohalikust hinnatasemest ainult mõnisada krooni kallimad. Mind hämmastas ka mootoriforss, suht minimaalse, kuid korraliku tegemisega on mootorist saadud omaniku tunde järgi 100 hobuse ringis.

Is it allowed to remove bumpers? Or do you put bumpers back when you go to the tech inspection?
And form where did you get this VFTS style "body-kit"? And how much did you pay for it?

VFTS-bofy kit is from "Lapuan Lasikuitu", a company in Finland making various rally-body kits. New VFTS-kit costs about 120 - 130 euros.
