Tere, my name is Cyprien and I am a french student studdying for two semester at Tallinn University. I was thinking for a year of buying a classic car here, with the crazy project of coming back to my country on the road.

A mounth ago I finally decided to jump in and buy this wonderful VAZ 2101 of 1972.
The car was in the same family for 58 years, it sat in a dry garage between 2006 and 2020. The guy I bought it from restarted it this autumn. It is in good condition, it drives very well and it is entirely rust free. I also received with the car a bunch of spare parts.

I still need to find some parts like a front amblem, original side mirror and chrome rods for the underseals.

More importantly I would like to find a good garage to change the brakes liquid and do a full check up of the car. If you can advise me one in Tallinn, preferably english speaking,it would be great.

Also I would like to install quickly rear seat belts to avoid killing my friends,I found some from a 2106 is it possible to insall them easily ?

PS: I tried to post the topic on the english section of the forum but it was refused.

Hello!
Not really specialized to old russian cars, but I have had my 21063 repaired at Soo Autogrupp a couple of times. They seem to be very passionate about cars and work quality has been excellent.

We are quite careful when allowing posts written in English as we have many bots trying to post viagra and other adds to our forum :) Luckily whoever approved your post for the second time took the time to read the content and your topic is at the right place.

I quite sure that your car has seatbelts mounts. To check, remove back seat and rear deck. There should be mounting holes. Make sure that you are using correct, fine thread bolts to fasten them.

Good luck
